Samuel Abner Hughes, 70, of Kingsport, died Sunday at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Blountville Cemetery. Family and friends who wish to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:55 a.m.
