David P. McComas, 37.
BLOUNTVILLE — A Kingsport man accused of raping a young girl 16 times, then threatening her with a gun in a separate alleged incident, has been arrested on multiple charges.
David P. McComas, 37, 1920 Bowater Drive, A-11, was arrested last week after a Sullivan County grand jury issued sealed indictments against him on Sept. 6. He was released the same day on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in a Sullivan County court on Sept. 30.
McComas’ charges include 16 counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and a single count of aggravated assault.
The indictments allege that McComas raped a girl 10 times in November 2009, once in February and June 2010, once in January 2011, twice in February 2011 and once in April 2011. The assault charge stems from an allegation that he threatened the girl with a gun between April 10 and April 16.
At the time of the alleged offenses, the girl was at least 13 years of age and McComas was 35 to 37 years of age.
Also on Sept. 6, the returned sealed indictments against Houston Isley, 42, 641 Nelson St., Apt. 160. Isley was indicted on charges of rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery. The charges allege Isley raped and fondled a boy less than 10 years of age in December 2010. He was jailed Sept. 15 and held on a $75,000 bond.
In a third case presented the same day, the grand jury issued a single sealed indictment on a charge of rape of a child against Nathan A. Tilson, 23, 114 Ole Lacy Hollow Road, Elizabethton. Tilson, arrested Monday, is accused of raping a girl less than 13 years of age on or about Jan. 17.
