Valentine's Day is almost here and that means thoughts turn to love. So, to mark the occasion, we want to hear your love stories.
Have a hard time putting your ideas on paper? That's not a problem because we're going to help get you started. All you have to do is choose your favorite topic and - in 200 words or less - finish the story. Then, send it to us. Selected stories will be featured in the Feb. 12 edition of Sunday Stories.
You can finish one of these lines:
"I knew it was love when..."
"I know______ loves me because..."
Keep in mind, for these topics, you don't even have to write about your husband, wife or significant other. It could be your parents, kids, pets, friends, food or anything else that brings love to your life.
Or you can finish one of these:
The first date is usually one of the most memorable dates anyone will ever have. Some are funny, some are total horror stories. "Let me tell you about my most memorable first date..."
"I will never forget the first time I had to meet his/her parents. It was..."
Send your stories to email@example.com by 5 p.m., Feb. 3. Be sure to put "Love Stories" in the subject line, and don't forget to include your full name and a way that we can contact you - just in case we have any questions. You can even attach a photo as long as it's at least one megabyte and 200 dpi. Just be sure to send the photo as an attachment to an email, and not as a link to any outside site.
Not too computer savvy? That's OK, too. You can mail or deliver them, but they must arrive at the Times-News by 5 p.m., Feb. 3. The address is: Sunday Scrapbook, Attn: Carmen Musick, Kingsport Times-News, 701 Lynn Garden Drive, Kingsport, Tenn. 37662.comments powered by Disqus
