According to U.S. Today, Ron Paul acknowledged to his supporters he won't win the GOP presidential nomination, but encouraged them to go to the convention in Tampa to help reshape the party.
In an e-mail to supporters sent Wednesday night, the Texas congressman said he believes there will be "as many as 500" of his supporters in the convention hall who are either bound to support him or are officially voting for Mitt Romney but "believe in our ideas of liberty, constitutional government, and a common-sense foreign policy."
"And while this total is not enough to win the nomination, it puts us in a tremendous position to grow our movement and shape the future of the GOP!" Paul wrote.
