Two Pence Productions is taking its production of Richard O’Brien’s cult classic “The Rocky Horror Show” on the road, with shows beginning tonight at the Bonnie Kate Theater in Elizabethton. Curtains up is 8 p.m.
Directed by Ashley Seehorn, “The Rocky Horror Show” tells the story of two young lovers, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who are caught with a flat tire during a thunderstorm. They come across an old castle owned by the murderously hedonistic mad scientist Dr. Frankenfurter and his eccentric group of followers, known as the Transylvanians. Brad and Janet are held against their will and experience a night that both tantalizes and terrifies them. They are forever affected by what they witness that night.
Two Pence’s production stars Tod C. Riddle, Lee Ann Dalton-Adkins, Warren Parker Jr., Catherine Zapka, Lexi Moore, Brandon Ferguson, Danielle Elizabeth Wright, Allison Wallace, Griffin Van Camp, Gareth Van Camp, Jim Van Camp, Nic Hollifield, Abby Mae Tucker, Meaghan Jayne Gray, Emily Ailene Brumit Watson, Shea Sanabria and Adrian Thomas as Dr. Frankenfurter.
Performances will continue at 8 p.m., Nov. 1-3, 9 and 10 at the Bonnie Kate. Tickets are $20 and include a “goody” bag filled with playing cards, noise makers, newspapers and all the other items needed to participate in this audience-interactive cult classic.
Fans who just can’t get enough are invited to stay after and catch one of the midnight screenings of the film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” starring Tim Curry and Richard O’Brien. Screenings will be held tonight and on Nov. 2 and 9. Tickets for these double features are $25 and include a second “goody” bag.
