CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Police in Middle Tennessee are investigating a fatal shooting at a club.
Clarksville police say the shooting happened early Saturday at C-Ray's Social Club in Clarksville. A statement from police says officers arrived to find a 20-year-old man on a ramp just outside the business with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.
The police statement says officers received limited information from witnesses at the scene, but have determined several people were fighting when shots were fired and one person was hit.
The shooting took place near the Fort Campbell Army post, but police say the victim was not military.
Police said the man's name would be released after his next of kin were notified.
