ABINGDON, Va. – On Thursday, December 6, join Abingdon in its fourth town-wide First Thursday event.
Park your car in Abingdon’s Municipal Lot (between the Farmer’s Market and House on Main) and catch the trolley for free! It will take you to all of these galleries beginning at 5pm looping around every twenty minutes until 9pm.
The schedule for the December First Thursday is as follows:
5-8pm – Mallory Fine Art at 112 East Main Street
OPENING RECEPTION Decking the Hall…with Smalls! Celebrating the season with an offering of small original works and prints just in time for gift giving along with festive treats and live music
5-8pm – The Gallery @ Barr Photographics at 152 E. Main Street
OPEN GALLERY featuring an exhibit of fine art photography by R. Dean Barr entitled Reprise
5-8pm – Wolf Hills Brewing Co. at 350 Park Street

OPEN HOUSE and 23RD ANNUAL HOLIDAY MEMBERS SHOW with open studios, refreshments from 7-9 pm and live music by David Collins on the piano

On the first Thursday of every month, join arts organizations around Abingdon for art, food, music, shopping and more! First Thursdays, Abingdon, began in September 2012 as a collaborative project between eight different galleries around town to encourage citizens to become involved in the local art community by coordinating openings on the same evening of each month.
