A Kingsport residence was lost to fire Tuesday afternoon, displacing the occupants.
It occurred at a mobile home park in the 900 block of Tranbarger Drive near Lynn Garden Drive. The Kingsport Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 3 p.m., responding to find the mobile home at lot 13 fully involved.
KFD Public Education Officer Barry Brickey says an occupant of the residence had momentarily went to a neighboring home, returning to find smoke and fire coming from a bedroom. The fire was quickly extinguished with an investigation into the cause continuing.
The American Red Cross was notified of the loss and responded to provide assistance to the residents.
