She allegedly told police that a variety of electronics had been stolen from her home, naming her son as a suspect in the theft. Police say they later located Gentry at a residence on Walnut Hill Road, along with his mother's missing property.
Police say components of a meth lab were located near the Walnut Hill residence, meriting the response of SCSO Vice and Narcotics Detectives. They are still investigating the discovery and trying to determine who the meth lab materials belong to,. Charges are pending.
Gentry, whose last known address is his mother's home on Deck Valley Road, was booked into the Sullivan County jail in Blountville. Police say he also had an active warrant for failure to appear.
