BULLS GAP, Tenn. — The 2nd annual “Walter Ball Memorial Night at Volunteer Speedway” will be held on Saturday.
Ball captured the 1977 Late Model championship at Volunteer Speedway. Later he helped his son win five Late Model season titles at “the Gap”.
The Fastrak Racing Series-sanctioned Pro (Crate) Late Models will headline the racing program Saturday with a $2,000 prize for winning the Walter Ball Memorial 40.
There will also be competition in Modified Hobby, Open Wheel Modified and Mini Stock.
The pit gate will open at 4 p.m. with the grandstand gates to open at 5:30. Hotlaps should start at 6:30 p.m. followed by qualifying and then racing at 8.
Adult grandstand admission is $15 with youth (ages 11-15) admitted for $5. Children under 10 are free. Pit passes and backside tier-parking is $30 per person.
