Emily Nichole Tipton of Church Hill, and Dylan Blake Pounders of Church Hill, were married Dec. 7, 2013, at Mountain View Baptist Church. The Rev. Ronnie Trent officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Ola Jean Tipton of Church Hill, and the granddaughter of Don and Shelby Robinette of Kingsport, and John and Wilma Tipton of Church Hill.
The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Melanie King of Russellville, Ala., and the late Larry Pounders. He is the grandson of the late Clarence and Inez Pounders and the late Tom and Shirley Thornton.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father.
The bride wore a designer wedding gown of white and silver with a sweetheart neckline and an elegantly ruched bodice highlighted with re-embroidered lace and Swarovski crystal appliqués. The full pick-up skirt flowed into an extended train.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses and white baby’s breath.
Olivia Tipton, sister of the bride, of Church Hill, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kyla Mullins of Church Hill, Ashley Riner of Church Hill, Sandy Norton of Chuckey, Tenn., and Sara Lovelace of Rogersville. Flower girls were Kate Tipton, niece of the bride, and Taylor Pounders, cousin of the bridegroom.
Billy Pounders Jr., cousin of the bridegroom, of Church Hill, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Mullins of Church Hill, Shane Greer of Church Hill, Eric Smith of Church Hill, and Billy Pounders Sr., uncle of the bridegroom, of Church Hill. Ring bearers were Clayton Tipton, nephew of the bride, of Church Hill, and Tanner Cox, cousin of the bride, of Church Hill.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall at Mountain View Baptist Church.
The bride graduated from Volunteer High School, Church Hill. She is employed at Arby’s and Holston Valley Hospital.
The bridegroom graduated from Russellville High School, Russellville, Ala. He is employed at WalGreens.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, the couple resides in Church Hill.
