Seasons of Hope rolls into new season of serving others

Coming off its largest outreach project of the year — a Secret Santa party for 260 local teens and children — the nonprofit Seasons of Hope organization has rolled full steam into a brand new year of serving others.To continue its assistance to low-income working parents, grandparents raising third and fourth generations of their families, teens too old for typical back-to-school and holiday gift distributions and others who fall short of the eligibility standards set by nonprofit programs, Seasons of Hope has a busy January and February lined up.During this time, Seasons of Hope will be gathering in diapers for its Bundles of Hope Tri-Cities Diaper Pantry. To help the one-in-three families who struggle with the cost of keeping their little ones covered, packs of new disposable diapers of all sizes may be dropped off at Rose Hill Weddings at the corner of at East Market Street and Library Lane, or monetary donations to help Seasons of Hope stock up for its monthly Diaper Day distributions may be made online at seasonsofhopetn.com.On Sunday, Jan. 27, Seasons of Hope will be in downtown Kingsport for The Sweethearts Fair, a fundraising Valentines Craft Market to be held from 1-5 p.m. at the Model City Event Center at 201 E. Center St..The event will feature works of local artisans, door prizes, free swag bags for thefirst 10 guests through the door, a kissing booth, mini-photo sessions and all manner of gifts for the little cherubs and sweethearts in your life.Admission is free and guests of all ages are welcome.
