'An Intimate Evening With David Foster & Katharine McPhee' coming to Bristol

BRISTOL, Va. – Sixteen-time Grammy Award winner David Foster and singer-actress Katharine McPhee will extend their tour, "An Intimate Evening with David Foster and Katharine McPhee," with 19 new dates in 2026. One of those performances will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol on Saturday, Feb. 14. The social media pre-sale for this live event will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18. "An Intimate Evening with David Foster and Katharine McPhee" is just that — an intimate evening with one of the biggest musical forces of our time. Foster performs songs that he wrote or produced from his four decades of hits and includes fascinating storytelling about the songs, artists and moments of his life. Some of the songs Foster and McPhee perform include Celine Dion's "The Power Of Love," Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard," Earth Wind & Fire's "After the Love Is Gone," Chicago's "You're the Inspiration," Josh Groban's "You Raised Me Up," Natalie Cole's "Unforgettable" and many more. They also perform a selection of hit songs that are beloved by McPhee's fans. Audiences love the banter and fun between the duo as they tell stories of how they met, what these songs mean to them and the stories behind the songs. Katharine McPhee McPhee is one of a handful of artists who take the lead in a career that includes film, television, Broadway, recording and concert tours. She first burst onto the scene in 2006, during a successful run on Season 5 of "American Idol" that made her a household name. As an actress, she is well-known to television audiences for starring as Paige Dineen on the CBS' spy drama "Scorpion" (2014-2018), and also as one of the leads in the NBC musical drama "Smash" (2012-2013), executive-produced by Steven Spielberg. She also starred in the Netflix comedy series, "Country Comfort" (2021). She has also guest-starred in "CSI: NY," "Community," "Family Guy" and "Ugly Betty." As a singer, McPhee is renowned for her powerhouse presence and show-stopping performances. Her recordings have topped the charts in multiple genres, including pop, jazz and adult contemporary. A sought-after performer, McPhee has taken the stage for various PBS broadcasts throughout the years, including "Foster and Friends," "Chris Botti in Boston" and headlining her own "SoundStage" special. In spring 2018, McPhee made her Broadway debut starring as Jenna in the hit musical "Waitress," featuring music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles.
