MUSIC The Eternals will sing at Bays Mountain Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. The church is located at 2000 Meadowview Parkway in Kingsport. COMMUNITY Gray United Methodist Church will provide a free meal for the community on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Please park the back parking lot and enter through the double doors. We hope you will share a sit-down meal with us, but there will be a station inside the door if you need takeout meals. St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2211 E. Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, will show the documentary series "Pivotal Players" on Monday nights at 6:45 p.m. through Feb. 9. The series explores the lives of influential saints, artists, mystics and thinkers who shaped both the Catholic Church and Western civilization. Each Monday evening includes a one-hour screening, popcorn, and time for fellowship and conversation in a friendly, no-pressure environment. The annual Johnson City Prayer Breakfast will be held on Monday, March 30, at the Freedom Hall Arena and Civic Center. This event brings together members of the community from various denominations, all united by a shared commitment to glorify God through prayer and service. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. with doors opening for registration and fellowship. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m., speakers will begin at 8 a.m., and the event will conclude at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at www.PrayForJC.org with an option to purchase "gift tickets" to allow others who may not be able to afford a ticket to attend. Gray United Methodist Church's food pantry is open each Monday from 9 a.m. to noon and every second Monday night from 4-7 p.m. The pantry is located at the right side of the church. First Broad Street United Methodist Church offers a Celebrate Recovery program each Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the third floor of the church. Celebrate Recovery is based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and accompanying biblical principles.
