Dobyns-Bennett Alumni Association seeking Hall of Fame nominations

KINGSPORT — If you know someone who graduated from Kingsport's Dobyns-Bennett High School who should be recognized for their life, now's the time to nominate that person if they graduated 35 or more years ago. The D-B Alumni Association Board of Directors is accepting nominations for the Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame Class of 2026 until Friday, May 1. Nominees should be D-B graduates who had a profound effect on D-B and have had a successful and influential life, not only in regard to D-B, but with their family, community, career and other areas. Graduates are eligible to be considered for induction 35 years after graduation. Nomination categories for D-B graduates include academics, administrator/teacher, arts, athletics, business, church and ministerial, entertainment, government services/humanitarian, judicial and legal, literature, medical, military service, news and communications or media, politics, public service and science. This year's D-B Alumni Association Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Oct. 31 at the Civic Auditorium. The association seeks to unite D-B alumni and to keep them informed of community and school news.
