Ballad Health Medical Associates adds OB-GYN providers

KINGSPORT — Two physicians and two family nurse practitioners have joined Ballad Health Medical Associates OB/GYN and Women's Health - Kingsport, according to a press release. Drs. Darlene Fogg and Kathleen Foster and Family Nurse Practitioners Katie Sharrett and Rosa Jones will provide obstetric and gynecologic care through the department, which is part of Indian Path Community Hospital. "I always want to give the patient time to tell their story, and I like to make treatment decisions clear and easy to understand," said Fogg, who is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the release. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center. Foster, who is also board-certified, earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and completed her residency at the University of Connecticut. According to a news release, she enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients. "Patients know their bodies and can often help guide decisions about their care," she said in the release. Sharrett and Jones are both board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sharrett earned degrees from East Tennessee State University, and Jones earned degrees from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate. Both are passionate about patient care. "I love to provide a listening ear, help find a solution or cause to their concerns and restore their health," Sharrett said in the news release. "We all need someone who truly cares about our well-being," Jones added. "I strive to listen, support and guide each patient."
