Downtown Kingsport Restaurant Week set for October

KINGSPORT — The Downtown Kingsport Association is inviting the community to participate in this year's Downtown Kingsport Restaurant Week, which is Oct. 5 through Oct. 11. As part of Tennessee Main Street Restaurant Week, a recent release stated downtown Kingsport is joining Main Street communities from across the state in celebrating the restaurants, cafes, breweries, distilleries, bakeries, coffee shops and specialty food businesses that make downtown unique. More than 30 downtown businesses are expected to participate this year, according to the release. Throughout the week, participating businesses are anticipated to offer featured menu items, drinks, specials and unique experiences intended to encourage residents and visitors to dine locally and support downtown businesses. "Downtown Kingsport has an incredible variety of locally owned food and beverage businesses, and Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to put the spotlight on them," Robin Cleary, senior director of the Downtown Kingsport Association, said in the release. "We want people to get out, try something new, revisit an old favorite and experience all that Downtown Kingsport has to offer." A Downtown Kingsport Restaurant Week digital passport will feature each participating business along with its featured Restaurant Week items/experiences. Community members can use the passport to plan their Restaurant Week visits and check in at participating locations throughout the week. Those who visit and check in on the passport with at least four participating businesses during Restaurant Week will be entered into a drawing for prizes, the release states.
